Roses are one of the most beautiful flowers in the garden but caring for them in the demanding Northeast's climate takes knowledge besides hope and devotion. Mr. Winne will be presenting first a hands-on workshop on how to prune roses on the Library's grounds--weather permitting. Feel free to bring gloves and pruners if you'd like to give it a try! For the pruning workshop please meet at the Library's circ desk at 5:15 pm before Peter goes outside to start. After the pruning workshop Peter will present at 6 pm in the lower level auditorium... Peter Winne is a well known horticulturist who designs and cares for gardens in public parks and on unique and residential properties in Connecticut and New York. He founded Peter Winne Gardens in 2021 after years as the Head Garder at Elizabeth Park, home of the nation's oldest rose garden.
