Let kids dig into nature—and watch them bloom. This experiential program sparks kids’ innate wonder. Fun, hands-on, outdoor projects engage kids in gardening and landscaping, environmental art-making, citizen science, inquiry, and self-discovery.
With the guidance of their master gardener/teaching artist, kids will:
- Explore the natural world with all their senses.
- Deepen their connection to nature.
- Participate in the Great Sunflower Project—and become citizen scientists.
- Design and cultivate a native-plant garden.
- Discover scientific principles: botany, ecosystems, lifecycles, and more.
- Create a pollinator pathway.
- Recognize native plants and herbs.
- Play in AMP’s nature playground.
- Be inspired by environmental art.
- Create their own nature-inspired masterpiece: printmaking, textile art, sculpture, and more.
Kids leave with a strong sense of their own place in the natural world, an appreciation of stewardship, and a foundation for further scientific learning—all gained from real hands-on experiences.
No experience is necessary. This is a small group program led by teaching artist Meredith Arcari Luciano. Space is limited.
