Green Community Celebration & Tour
Get ideas and inspiration to help build a greener community in Arlington on Sunday, June 2, 11-4:30pm!
11-12:30: Community Welcome event at Arlington Central Library
12-4:30: Visit green homes, gardens and community spaces throughout Arlington.
2:00 pm: Guided bike tour. Location tbd.
The 21st annual Green Community Tour will showcase sustainable homes and gardens in Arlington. Features include energy efficient and water-saving technologies, solar energy, rain gardens, native plants, wildlife habitat and more. The simultaneous Green Community Celebration at Arlington Central Library will feature electric vehicles, exhibits and family-friendly fun! Suggested donation $5. Registration for the self-guided is available online and onsite at Arlington Central library. Register online for the bike tour.
The celebration and tour are sponsored by EcoAction Arlington, Virginia Cooperative Extension/Master Gardeners, Arlington Regional Master Naturalists, Arlington Public Libraries, Arlington County’s Office of Sustainability and Environmental Management.
