Grace Love at the Bowery Vault
Grace Love and Jessi Robertson first met in Brooklyn as part of a supportive community for independent artists called Local Correspondents that ran from 2003 - 2013.
Now Seattle-based Grace Love and Nashville-based Jessi Robertson are reuniting at the beloved East Nashville venue The Bowery Vault for an unforgettable night of music!
Representing Washington state alongside her Memphis roots, Grace Love has been performing her authentic, contemporary and soulful sound to today’s music scene by challenging music genre boundaries. Love’s lyrics and brings a rambunctious and soulful angle to what the alternative pop and rock genres look like by a seasoned musical artist in 2023.
With Grace Love’s unique and captivating sound, she has garnered a loyal following from the likes of KEXP and NPR who have consistently supported her music. She performed with the Seattle Symphony for a Quincy Jones tribute and then was selected by Quincy himself for a festival curated performance.
Nashville-based musician Jessi Robertson knows how to command a room. With wrenchingly honest songwriting and a powerhouse voice, Robertson deftly navigates the difficult boundaries between reality and imagination, and in the process bravely lays bare her own underlying emotional truths.
As a musician, Robertson rides the divide between indie iconoclasts such as PJ Harvey and Americana vanguards such as Lucinda Williams. Embracing these contradictions, her songs are as intimate as confessions, as cathartic as confrontations, and often injected with dark, wry humor. Her voice moves easily from lullaby crooning to wild rock and roll wailing, and her writing expertly explores themes of love, betrayal, darkness, and redemption.
