Golden’s Western Heritage Days & FREE Clydesdale-Pulled Wagon Rides
As the National Western Stock Show pulls into Denver, the city of Golden saddles up to celebrate Western Heritage Days. There’s no place more western than Golden, as the iconic Welcome Arch, proudly proclaims, “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden, it’s “Where the West Lives!” In January the city celebrates Western Heritage Days with a month full of Western fun, including FREE Western Wagon Rides pulled by Clydesdales on three Saturdays ( 1/13, 20 and 27). Photos with horses are available from 9 – 10 a.m. and 15-minute wagon rides through historic downtown will be offered from 11 am – 2pm. Golden is also home of the Buffalo Bill Museum, Colorado Railroad Museum, and even Original Coors.
