You may be familiar with Lincoln’s assassination, but do you know about his funeral train? Hear how millions of Americans were able to bid farewell to the president during a free history presentation on Thursday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at 1775 Powder Mill Road in York.
Presented by Scott Mingus, Civil War author and lecturer, learn about the three-week journey to Lincoln’s final resting place in Springfield, Illinois, how it was planned and executed, and the connection to York.
