Get to Know York County: Archeology
Travel back in time – 10,000 years – and learn about the Ancient Ones at Senior Common at Powder Mill, 1775 Powder Mill Road, in York, on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 1-3 p.m.
Discover what artifacts survived to prove their existence, while you get an up-close look at some of their stone tools found in York County, and hear more about the Susquehannock tribe, that moved to Pennsylvania in 1550 A.D. Presented by Debbie Saylor, curator of Indian Steps Museum in York County and Blue Rock Heritage in Lancaster County, and president of the Lower Susquehanna Archaeological Society.
