Disability Voting Rights Week highlights the importance of civic participation for people with disabilities. Students, faculty, staff, and community members meet other disabled activists and learn about voting rights and accommodations such as accessible machines and curbside voting. Co-hosted by UBU, Law without Barriers, REV UP Virginia, Disability Services, the Mason Votes team, and the Office of Community Engagement & Civic Learning, with support from the League of Women Voters, the event emphasizes that removing barriers to the ballot is essential for ensuring disabled voices are heard and represented in democracy. Free Pizza (gluten-free included!) is provided.
