Funk N Funny brings you the best of both worlds with smooth sounds, lyrics and laughter all in one show! The musical portion of the show features Steve Brown/Kasper and The 911 Band! Kasper and The 911 Band was formed in 2000 by Kaper Rouser. lead guitarist, and leader of the band. It consists of a 4 piece rhythm section, keys, drums, bass guitar, and lead guitar, as well as 3 dynamic singers that can bring you all types of music, from Motown to Pop to R&B and Rock!
The comedy portion of the show features the hysterical side-splitting comedy of Steve Brown! Seen on BET Comic View and HBO's P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy, Steve was born in Detroit, Michigan, but was raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When Steve Brown takes the stage he amazes his audience with his witty remarks, extremely original jokes, and his high-energy physical antics. Performing alongside such comedy heavyweights such as J Anthony Brown, Eddie Griffen and Martin Lawrence Steve Brown is a must see!
It is all hosted by comedian/writer LaMont Ferrell who has appeared on BET's Comic View and Showtime at the Apollo. He has also written for over a dozen sitcoms including Moesha, Girlfriends, House of Payne and Are We There Yet. You may also have also seen him on his recurring role on the hit TV show The Office.
