From Trauma to Healing: Supporting Israel's Dental Community
On Sunday, September 28th, 2024, at 11:00 AM (New York Time) on zoom, the Alpha Omega International Alliance of Charitable Organization will host a powerful gathering marking two years since October 7th.
Together, we will remember the lives lost, pray for the hostages, recognize the courage of AO members, their families and launch our new program Renewing Minds, Restoring Hope - supporting the mental well being of our Israeli dental community.
As a community, we take care of our own. The new program will provide psychological support for Israel’s dental professionals, students, and faculty — helping them heal, rebuild, and start again.
Our hosts, co-chairs of the Renewing Minds, Restoring Hope program - Dr. Laurie Gordon-Shaw, Dr. Michael Spektor will share moving insights and personal experiences, underscoring the importance of this initiative to create hope and change.
In addition, Yotam Dagan a clinical psychologist and entrepreneur who spent 20 years (1985–2005) in the Israeli Navy SEALs Unit 13 as a combat operator, combat team leader, chief instructor, and head of the Training Squadron will discuss how, with his expertise and guidance, we can strengthen the resilience of Israel’s dental professionals, students, and faculty.
We invite you to join us in remembrance and solidarity, and to support this important effort to care for our colleagues in Israel as they begin to heal and rebuild.
