From Inferno to Americana
Our time together will echo themes of resilience, both quiet and loud, illuminating the stories of our shared experience. "Inferno," a physical abstraction of "Dante's Inferno" from The Divine Comedy, probes human willpower in the face of great opposition. This solo performance, danced by Ty Graynor, represents a journey from pain to promise, exploring the human capacity to rise from the depths of confusion and ambiguity into the euphoria of truth and sovereignty.
"Americana" features an ensemble of eight Texas based dance artists, unveiling a pastoral universe outside the city’s limits. In "Americana" we step away from the busyness of contemporary society and transport ourselves into a timeless movement of simplicity, listening, and reverence.
