From Here to Eternity is a melodic with music and verses by Stuart Brayson and Tim Rice and a book by Bill Oakes. In light of the 1951 novel of similar name by James Jones, the melodic made its West End and world debut in 2013, at the Shaftesbury Theater, London.
Jones' original From Here to Eternity was a blockbuster and notable for its fruitful film transformation. Jones' composition was intensely blue-penciled by his distributer to eliminate foulness and references to gay prostitution; the unexpurgated form was not distributed until 2011. When it was, writer Stuart Brayson figured it very well may be adjusted as a melodic, and proposed the task to Tim Rice, who gained the stage freedoms and composed the verses.
