Friday Fish Fry Fête
Sprout is focused on making growing food viable for more Louisianans. It is our connection to this land, the people who tend it, and the bounty that comes from it that fuels everything we do.
This lenten season, we’re aiming to raise $15,000 to fund our work supporting growers of all scales – from the beginning gardener who wants to grow enough to sell at the farmers market, to a rural farmer who is scaling up their operations. So we’re throwing a party, both to toast how far we’ve come and our community of producers, and to increase the amount of our fundraising that comes directly from our community.
On Friday, March 1st, 5:30-8:30pm, Sprout will host our first fundraising event: a Friday Fish Fry Fête to celebrate Sprout’s community of local food growers & fishers. Because good food is at the heart of our work, this event will feature the best Louisiana-grown fish, vegetables, and delicious side dishes. The event will also showcase live music, garden-to-glass cocktails, a plant raffle, a vibrant community of growers, and other surprises in a joyful, garden atmosphere.
