Freshly Squeezed Comedy with headliner Nate Abshire at Invictus Brewing in Blaine, MN

Freshly Squeezed Comedy is the high-energy, wacky standup duo of Lefty Crumpet & Jesse The Shrink. They book, produce, and perform in their own shows throughout the state of Minnesota. Lefty brings his silly songs & Jesse brings his unique perspectives as a licensed therapist (yes he really is a shrink & yes, that probably means he's analyzing you). This time they're back at Invictus Brewing in Blaine to help christen the popular brewery's new outdoor Event Tent! And they're bringing one of their favorite headliners - Nate Abshire (featured on NBC's "Last Comic Standing"). Nate recently headlined a sold-out Freshly Squeezed Comedy show at LTD Brewing in Hopkins so get your tickets while they're still available! About our headliner: Nate Abshire started performing comedy in 2009 - what will be called 'the before time,' after the global economic collapse. The following year, he finished runner-up in the legendary Acme Comedy Club's “Funniest Person in the Twin Cities” contest. In 2012 he ventured west and was a semifinalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition. In 2013 Nate performed at Laughfest in their “Best of the Midwest” contest, finishing runner-up and, by this point, became very tired of losing comedy contests! He gave it another try in 2014 on NBC's "Last Comic Standing". Sadly he again did not win. BUT Nate finally won a comedy contest in 2020! The Coast to Coast Roast. Since then he has opened for some of the best comics working today, including Chad Daniels and Mark Normand. He also released his debut, award-winning album "Coming In Hot" in 2021. Audiences love Nate's sardonic wit, keen writing,and playful stage presence. He currently lives in Minneapolis with his cat. About Lefty Crumpet Lefty is a 25-year-old, Minneapolis-based, ethnically-ambiguous, joke-slinging, musical funnyman with social anxiety from Riverside, California. He started doing standup comedy in college & immediately fell in love with the stage. His love of playing music led him to begin incorporating comedy songs into his standup performances. He lifts your hearts and minds with absurd and hilarious jokes and tunes, about various topics ranging from relationships to Doordash. Lefty was a finalist in the Funniest Person With a Day Job contest at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy at the Mall of America & is a co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy. You can find him bringing joy and confusion to crowds all over the Midwest. About Jesse the Shrink What do you get when you cross a shrink & a standup comedian? This guy! Jesse is a bona fide licensed therapist as well as the producer & host of Jesse The Shrink's Midlife Crisis Show & The St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show. He was also a finalist in the 2023 Funniest Person With A Day Job contest at Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, has been a guest on the KQRS Morning Show & Tom Barnard Podcast, & is a co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy.
