Free Tour of Oak Park Minimurals
The Oak Park Docents for Street Art have created these FREE monthly tours for those curious about Oak Park's minimurals. The tours will occur on the second Sunday of warm-weather months at 1:30pm: June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13 and October 11. A docent will meet those who have signed up (by calling 708-445-6000 and leaving a message with their name and phone number) at the SE corner of South Blvd. and Oak Park Avenue. He/she will provide information about the artists* and subject matter of various murals painted along South Blvd, on the blocks east and west of Oak Park Avenue. (Wear comfortable walking shoes.) Artists include: Susan A. Bjornson, Jack Stockman, Tia Etu, Jade Sheng, Elizabeth Russo, Danielle Mio Sogno, Joe Abboreno, Marion Sirefman, Michael Glascott, Arturo Barrera, Shannon Hochman, Craig Kucia, Lewis Lane, Nick Bridge, and Kinga Szopinskia
