Free Screening: IT’S NOT A BURDEN: The Humor and Heartache of Raising Elderly Parents
Emmy® Nominated filmmakers Michelle Boyaner and Barbara Green, in association with Presenting Sponsor UPMC for Life, are pleased to announce the Pittsburgh Free Community Screening and Resource Fair featuring a screening of the documentary, IT’S NOT A BURDEN: The Humor and Heartache of Raising Elderly Parents, to be held Saturday June 15 at 2:00 pm at the Jared L. Cohon University Center, in the McConomy Auditorium on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University. Special guest Jennifer Antkowiaka, Pittsburgh native, award-winning news anchor, talk-show host, wife, mother and author dedicated to caregiving, will moderate a Q&A with the filmmakers, families from the film and experts from the senior care arena following the screening.
A Resource Fair will follow in the adjacent Connan Room showcasing organizations, businesses, and providers that serve caregivers and seniors to help inform and support on this complex journey. The Free Community Screening and Resource Fair is brought to us with the generous support of our presenting sponsor, UPMC for Life along with our community partners, Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging and Sir Speedy Print Signs Marketing.
