FREE First Friday AT San Mateo County History Museum
Mark your calendars for March 6, 2026 when San Mateo County History Museum hosts its “FREE First Fridays” program. Join us for a day packed with exciting activities and engaging programs from 10 am to 4 pm.
At 11 am, we invite our youngest visitors to a special session where they’ll dive into Women’s History through art. Preschoolers will create their own clay sculptures inspired by the talented Sybil Easterday from Half Moon Bay. Plus, they’ll enjoy a captivating reading of the story of Frida Kahlo, showcasing another remarkable Bay Area woman artist, in our "Peninsula Innovators Changing the World Gallery".
At 2 pm, adults can embark on a guided tour of the museum with our knowledgeable docents, uncovering the rich history of the Peninsula from the Ohlone Indians to modern innovators.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to celebrate Women’s History and explore our local heritage—all for free! Sponsored by Monterra Credit Union, admission is free all day.
The San Mateo County History Museum is conveniently located at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City, within the beautifully preserved “Old Courthouse.”
