FREE Audition Workshop for Singing Actors
This audition workshop for singing actors — or acting singers ; ) — is taught regularly in New York City by Adam Roberts and Dave Hawks. Austin actors are welcome to make a FREE reservation for this workshop, which is ideal prep for the ATX Theatre Citywide Auditions.
Get concrete tips from Broadway audition coaches on:
• showing up in the audition room fully and authentically
• bringing your 16 bars to life to leave ’em wanting more
• branding yourself in a way that feels like the real YOU
• leveraging digital media to enhance your audition process
Bring your headshot/resume and sheet music for your 16-bar audition selection. Accompanist Rob Greenfield (who will also play at Citywide Auditions 2024) will play piano for this workshop! You may bring a track cued up on your phone and your own bluetooth speaker if you prefer. If you'd like to bring your rep book as well, feel free (especially if you're still picking which song) — though there won't be time to go beyond 16 bars. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT NOT EVERYONE ATTENDING WILL GET TO SING AND RECEIVE COACHING, but everyone will learn by watching those that do.
