And yet, the legend of this utterly singular work of abrasive anti-comedy lives on. Green stars as wannabe animator Gord Brody, who leaves the safety of his parents’ basement to make it big in Hollywood and along the way meets the paraplegic nymphomaniac of his dreams. Featuring some of the most outlandish and offensive scenes ever released under the auspices of a major studio, Freddy Got Fingered may not be for everyone, but it remains a work of true deranged vision. Hey, it even made it to the Criterion Channel — it’s officially art now!
