Fox Crossing Stringband - Summer Concert at Schweikher House
Fox Crossing Stringband is based out of Chicago, IL where in 2016, Despina Pafralides championed the idea for an all-female bluegrass band to her friend, Allison Branch, whom she played with in a local country band. They connected with Cassie Wright, a banjo and dobro player, to provide a true bluegrass sound.
In 2019, they released their debut album 'Box of Memories' blending both original songwriting and bringing bluegrass stylings to popular tunes.
They released their second full-length studio album “Bluegrass on My Mind“ in September 2022, and a foxy pop cover EP entitled “Bluegrass Prom” in 2023.
Guests may bring chairs, blankets, coolers (BYOB) & snacks to the historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg and enjoy a Friday night concert on the lawn. Please arrive between 5:00 pm - 5:30pm, explore the grounds, set up chairs and blankets, enjoy a beverage, and enjoy the live, in-person music beginning at 5:30pm.
