A newly created cultural and neighborhood initiative, Germantown Art District, will be formally announced this Friday at an event in the historic neighborhood. The new movement plans to highlight and share its diverse culture and community with all of Philadelphia. Germantown is a vibrant and historically significant Philadelphia neighborhood that dates back to the colonial era. The district has a thriving arts scene, with many galleries and cultural associations showcasing local artists and hosting community events. Germantown's historical, cultural, educational, and community contributions continue to shape and evolve the city of Philadelphia. Germantown Art District is looking to share its culture and art through the upcoming Fourth Fridays programming and a new festival happening this Fall, the Germantown Arts Festival.
