FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ACTS Announces IWALK Run & Walk 2025 to Support Local Families in Need
Dumfries, VA – ACTS (Action in Community Through Service) will host the IWALK Run & Walk 2025 on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge. This annual event brings together community members, businesses, churches, and civic organizations to raise vital funds that support families facing hunger, homelessness, and crisis in Prince William County.
IWALK has become one of the region’s largest community fundraising events, combining a 5K run and family-friendly walk. Proceeds benefit ACTS’ critical programs, including the Hunger Prevention Center, Domestic Violence Services, Sexual Assault Services, and Housing Assistance.
Last year’s event raised over $67,500, providing food, shelter, and emergency support for thousands of local residents. The 2025 goal is $125,000, with every dollar helping ACTS serve neighbors in crisis.
Dr. Stan Jones, CEO of ACTS, stated,
“Each year, IWALK brings the community together in a powerful way. Your participation directly impacts lives here at home. When you walk or run with us, you are helping a child eat, a family stay housed, and a survivor find safety.”

Registration: $30 per participant, $10 for students
