Footloose: Youth Edition, presented by Canton Theatre Kids
This family-friendly production is based on the much-beloved movie and full-length musical, “Footloose” which tells the story of Ren McCormack’s move from Chicago to a small farming town, where he prepares for the inevitable adjustment period due to attending a new high school, but is also faced with rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing. Set to the rocking rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score and including dynamic new songs for the stage musical, “Footloose: Youth Edition” celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, while guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind. The production is directed by Taylor Bond and Lisa Knight.
