In 2012, while working in the computer industry, Russ joined Foothills Genealogical Society to connect with other genealogists and enhance his research skills. Shortly after joining, he became the Newsletter Editor and then four years ago, he became the Webmaster. Russ's fascination with genealogy began in 2006 when he discovered an online family cemetery. The names of the people there sparked his curiosity and started his journey into family history research.
