Your ankles allow for maximum mobility and agility so you can run rocky trails, scramble scree slopes and cut and run away from bears. Unfortunately, they’re also prone to twisting. Sprained ankles are a very common injury among outdoor enthusiasts and they can happen with nearly any activity - hiking, biking, skiing, climbing or running. Given just how frequently sprained ankles can occur, knowing how to treat one is a valuable skill.
This class will give you hands on practice in taping ankles. We will briefly discuss the injury but then we get our hands dirty - so to speak and practice on other attendees. Everyone will get a chance to tape and get taped. That is why we call it First Aid Fun! While you can learn any of this online, hands on practice is always best.
There is a $10 fee for this class to cover instruction, handouts and materials. This class will be taught by a Wilderness First Responder with A LOT of ankle taping experience.
Note: To avoid the Eventbrite service charge, you can reserve your spot in advance by calling 602-283-5213 and pay over the phone.
