The Gardens at Heather Farm hosts its Fall Plant Sale on Saturday, November 7, from 8AM to 1PM at 1540 Marchbanks Drive in Walnut Creek. Admission is free and open to everyone.
Fall is the best planting season in the Bay Area. Cooler air and warm soil allow roots to establish during the winter rains, so plants go into spring already settled in.
What you'll find:
- Cool-season edible starts
- California natives
- Perennials & succulents
Our selection is chosen for what actually performs in Contra Costa gardens, including varieties grown on site by our propagation team and volunteers.
Good to know:
- Cash and card accepted
- Bring a wagon or box to carry your plants
- The nursery is located just beyond the far end of our parking lot
Staff and volunteers are on hand to help you choose what will thrive in your garden
Every purchase supports six acres of free public garden, open daily from sunrise to sunset, and nature education programs that reach thousands of Contra Costa students each year.
