Join historian Carrie Ryan for a fun and educational hour learning about stereoscopes, the world’s first 3D photographic technology. You’ll learn how stereoscopes work, where they came from, and how they became an international sensation. Finally, you’ll have a chance to try using an original stereoscope yourself. Ask questions and grow your curiosity in this Exploration Workshop!

Carrie Ryan earned her Ph.D. in History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her areas of expertise include histories of science, popular culture, and identity in the Americas.
