Join the choirs of All Souls Unitarian Church for an evening of moving choral music featuring excerpts from 'Considering Matthew Shepard', a contemporary work inspired by the life and legacy of Matthew Shepard, whose 1998 murder became a turning point in the national conversation around anti-LGBTQ+ violence and hate crime legislation.
Directed by Dr. Randall Hooper, the concert will feature performances by the Adult and Chamber Choirs performing excerpts from 'Considering Matthew Shepard', while the Cherub, Children’s, and Youth Choirs will present additional musical selections throughout the evening.
Blending music, poetry, and reflection, 'Considering Matthew Shepard' explores grief, compassion, healing, and the enduring call for human dignity. This special concert invites audiences into an evening of remembrance, empathy, hope, and shared humanity.
Free and open to the public.
