Evening Guided Hike at Piedras Marcadas Canyon
This hike is 1.5 miles roundtrip and will take a little over an hour to walk. It is a flat, sandy trail that leads to hundreds of petroglyphs, offering opportunities to learn about the geology, history, and ecology of this amazing place. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable, close-toed shoes with good ankle support. Bring water and wear sun protection. There are no amenities in the parking lot. Binoculars are helpful, but not necessary. Check with your local library about borrowing birding kits.
