Eric Vloeimans & Will Holshouser
Eric Vloeimans & Will Holshouser are an adventurous trumpet and accordion duo whose original music spans the range from introspective to exuberant, involving dynamic improvisation and drawing on jazz, folk and classical influences. Expect memorable melodies, virtuoso improvising, and an occasional sneaky cover (of Prince or the Muppets). Eric Vloeimans is one of most acclaimed musicians in the Netherlands, having won many awards there for his music. He has toured all over the world with his own groups Fugimundi, Oliver’s Cinema, and Gatecrash and has played with many artists from Mercer Ellington to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Will Holshouser grew up in Cambridge and is a veteran of the New York scene; his own recordings include music for his trio and for Musette Explosion. He has played accordion with Regina Carter, David Krakauer, NYC Ballet and many others.
