Engaging Youth in Horticultural Daylily Programs
On April 14, 2024, Rhonda Veroeven will make the trek from the “Frozen Tundra,” Windsor, WI, to the Chicagoland Daylily Society! She looks forward to meeting with club members and guests as she presents on the topic, “Engaging Youth in Horticultural (daylily specific) Programs.” She is the current President of the American Daylily Society (ADS) after holding several service positions at the club, regional, and national levels. She is a wife, mother, teacher, and daylily enthusiast. Rhonda has spoken on a wide variety of topics including basic hybridization techniques, ADS Awards and Honors, and most recently, including youth in horticulture. She has worked extensively to forge community partnerships to include and increase youth in her own club and hopes to share some realistic and simple ideas for other communities to use as well. Don’t miss the opportunity to engage with this dedicated educator at The Community House, 415 West 8th St., Hinsdale IL at 2:00pm.
