PUBLIC TALK:
Using Life’s Manure For Spiritual Growth
February 2nd, Friday Night 7:00-8:30pm
We can face many difficult situations as we go through life. No
matter how hard we try to avoid problems and pain they are still
present in our lives. Rather than trying to get away from or being
controlled by painful past experiences, this program will show you
how to use difficult, even traumatic, experiences to grow and
develop. The program covers trauma, anger, self-loathing, and
depression. Just as a flower transforms manure into a blossom, you
can learn, through love and nurturing, to grow, be happier and be
more content. The techniques are forgiveness, love, compassion,
mindfulness, and understanding. Participants will learn methods they
can apply to their daily lives when they return home.
TEACHING: Emotional Healing Weekend Workshop
February 3rd-4th, Saturday and Sunday
10:00am-Noon and 2:00p-4:00pm
Sometimes it seems like difficulties and painful emotions follow us
around like our shadow, but it doesn't have to be this way. While
difficulties in life are unavoidable, suffering is optional. This
program will explore why some emotions leave us wounded and how to
encourage emotions that heal and lead to happiness. We will also
explore themes of past trauma, negative childhood experiences, grief,
self-compassion, and resiliency.
Refuge Ceremony: February 3rd, Saturday 7:00-8:00pm
Lama Yeshe will bestow the Vow of Refuge to those wishing to start
the Buddhist path. Those who would like to receive Refuge for the
first time are asked to arrive at 6:30pm for brief instruction.
PLEASE NOTE: Refuge will only be for in person attendance.
