Join us for an informative and practical presentation by Lorrie Koonz, who began volunteering in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as a teenager and brings more than 40 years of emergency response experience, along with a career in nursing and disaster preparedness education.
Topics will include:
• Why we should be prepared
• The most common large-scale disaster risks in our area
• Watches vs. warnings — what’s the difference?
• Why planning saves lives
• Emergency planning, stocking supplies, and making lists
• What to do if evacuation becomes necessary
