EMBODIED Dance Experience
What is it?
It's a dance event - for dancing! A space devoted to unleashing the intuition of your body and inviting you to move however tf you want - free of judgement and distractions.
The Flow
6pm Doors open // enter the space and get moving
6:20 Warm up // there will be guidance but it's totally optional - you're welcome to warm up however you like!
6:50 Opening invocation // a moment of silence + intention setting to get us all on the same page before we get down
7-8:30 WE DANCE // live DJ set w/ boomkat - tunes range from tribal electronica to tech house with plenty of latin & afro beats in the mix
8:30 Closing // a space to share and connect with each other
Are there rules?
Only a few 🙂
❤ Cell phones & conversations stay off the dance floor
❤ Be mindful of the personal space of others & ask consent before touching anyone
What to bring + wear?
❤ Water will be provided, but please bring a drinking vessel!
❤ Dress comfortably and ready to move (think yoga or workout clothes) - honestly, it doesn't matter as long as you feel good & unrestricted
❤ Invitation to dance in socks or barefoot - if you feel you must wear shoes, please bring something soft
