Embodied Awakening - A Journey Through The Chakras: Crown Chakra
We will work our way from the ground up to explore the process of our embodiment through the lens of classical hatha yoga.
Crown - Sahasrara: At the completion of our journey, we experience a direct connection to Source. From the viewpoint of classical hatha yoga, this meeting signifies the reunion of Kundalini Shakti with her beloved Lord Siva. How can we infuse the bliss of their union into our everyday lives in present-day times?
This class will begin with a seated introduction to the physical and energetic anatomy of the chakra in focus. We will then move into a yoga asana movement practice for an embodied exploration of that center and begin to awaken the energies that lie within. We will then return to a comfortable seat on the floor or in a chair to engage with the more subtle dimensions of these mysterious wheels of light through guided visualization, sacred gesture or mudra, and chanting of Sanskrit sound syllables. Bring a journal, pen, reading glasses and your favorite meditation cushion or bench if you have one.
