present original works dedicated to immigrants and their journeys.
Sunday, November 4th at 5:30 PM: Electric Diamond will be in concert at the sacred space of The St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine in northern Manhattan. Stuart Diamond and Don Slepian will be joined by renowned new early music vocalist Ruth Cunningham and violin virtuoso Karen Bentley Pollick.
Electric Diamond: the pioneering electro-acoustic music ensemble that includes musical artist Stuart Diamond and eclectic, electric keyboard innovator Don Slepian. Electric Diamond has performed inAmerica and Asia, at music venues from Carnegie Recital Hall to Massachusetts Institute of Technology to Macy’s 4th of July Celebration. Their performances integrate classical, jazz, ambient, world, and early music into a completely original sound.
Ruth Cunningham: classically trained musician, sound healing practitioner, and a founding member of the eminent early music vocal group Anonymous 4. Ruth specializes in early instrumental and vocal music, as well as improvisational sacred music from varied spiritual traditions in both liturgical and concert settings.
Karen Bentley Pollick: one of her generation’s leading new music and classical violin virtuosos; performs a wide range of solo repertoire and styles at concerts worldwide.
