Eleanor Roosevelt: The Great Depression Years 1933 - 1938
Join us for part 2 of the series "The Life of Eleanor Roosevelt." In this lecture by MCC history professor Mark Sample, we will learn about her building of the town Arthurdale (a town in West Virginia for poor coal miners), her time as First Lady, and her involvement with workers issues, race issues, and other social issues. Included will also be her friendships that will define her life and help to create an independence from FDR. Special notice will be given to her relationship with Lorena Hickock. Please join MCC history professor, Mark Sample as he continues to tell the story of this amazing woman.
