About: eggcorn is the moniker of Bay Area songwriter/singer, Lara Hoffman, and refers to a word or phrase that is mistook for another word or phrase. Her debut album, Your Own True Love (2022), journeys through the tropes of romanticism and the human desire to find meaning outside of oneself. Creating the intergalactic, synth-laden, electronic soundscape of YOTL, Lara has since reimagined these songs for live performance with the talents of her band: Kyle Stringer (bass), Ali Gummess (violin), Karen Moran (viola), and Peter Craft (drums). She is currently working on a new compilation encapsulating the orchestral indie rock of eggcorn’s concerts.

About: I’ve been writing and performing music for 30+ years, starting in Gainesville FL in the late 80s, and then continuing in San Francisco from the mid-90s to today. My latest album, “Pacific” was (mostly) recorded and mixed before and during the pandemic, from roughly 2019 to 2021. All recordings and mixing were done Boxer Lodge studios, with the eminently talented recording engineer and producer Peter Craft at the helm. The recordings were mastered by J.J Golden at Golden Mastering. I’m deeply grateful for the incredible contributions by guest musicians on several of the tracks (listed below), also to Peter Craft and Laura Cavaluzzo for their generous hospitality and everything else at Boxer Lodge. Lastly, a big thank you to Michael Chanover for the perfect cover artwork. It really captures the sound of the record.
