Eat Local Read Local Book Sale & Festival,
Seventy local authors from across the DMV will be selling and signing their books, and will be happy to discuss what inspires them to write. The event will be held in the rear parking lot, with ample parking available in the front lot. Admission to the festival is free, and it will be held outdoors, rain or shine.
The family-friendly event also features local food trucks, live music, balloon art and a StoryWalk® by participating children’s author Gabriella Aldeman. Select restaurants in the Cascades Marketplace plaza will offer discounts to customers who show their library card during the event.
“Many of the authors ask every year if they can return, saying the event is one of their favorites,” said Susan VanEpps, Division Manager of Programming and Community Engagement. “The authors drew over 700 people last year. We’re thrilled to host this program that fosters such community connection and support.”
