Eastern Service Workers Association: Here Until Poverty Isn’t!
DUPC welcomes ESWA to our Sunday Forum! Eastern Service Workers Association is organizing to end poverty from the bottom up through a self-help membership organization of, by and for Monroe County’s low-income workers and families. Please join us here at DUPC on our 2nd floor Shaw Room for this informative conversation with speaker, Katie Ferrall.
Katie Ferrall will focus on ESWA's commitment to be "Here Until Poverty Isn't" and will describe our grassroots approach, who our members are, how we meet immediate needs through self-help benefit programs, our accomplishments, upcoming plans, etc. Cherrie McCown will speak as a representative of fellow service workers, describe our members' living and working conditions, her experiences in the workforce, and her leadership role in ESWA.
