A fresh season of themed experiences is returning to Downtown Tempe when the 2nd Sundays on Mill series kicks off on Nov. 8. Each event brings a new fun-filled day to Mill Avenue, with on-street entertainment, interactive art, themed activities, snacks, drinks and plenty of fun for all ages. The series — with events scheduled the second Sunday in November, January, February and April — will feature a mix of returning favorites and new ideas throughout the season.
This free, family-friendly and dog-friendly event transforms historic Mill Avenue into a vibrant outdoor marketplace on Mill Avenue between 3rd St. and University. Each 2nd Sunday event will feature a curated lineup of Arizona-based artists, makers and small businesses, along with the fan-favorite Kids Market where young entrepreneurs showcase and sell their own creations.
A new theme each month gives attendees the perfect reason to return again and again. In November, the “Multicultural” theme is all about celebrating cultures near and far. Participants will enjoy live music and dance from across the globe, interactive art inspired by traditions, and performances that bring stories to life right on the street. Highlights include a curated market filled with Arizona makers, diverse food vendors, free mini golf and more:

• Live wrestling matches featuring Lucha Libre Voz
• Arizona Asian American Association will feature Kung Fu demo, cultural dances and more!

• Collaborative community art project
• Free library cards from Tempe Public Library
• Live music on multiple stages
• Roaming entertainers

The event will be on Mill Avenue between Third Street and University Drive in Downtown Tempe.
