More than 1,000 veterans and active military will gather downtown on Monday, May 27 for the community’s annual Memorial Day Parade.
Join us as we honor those who have lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces, and thank those who have served and who are still serving in the military.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., military vehicles will be on display on Main Street. Flyovers are planned as well (weather permitting).
The solemn, yet celebratory procession will begin at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Post 216. The parade route will travel east on Commerce Road and south on Main Street. The parade will end at Huron Street and a brief ceremony and remembrance event will be held at the American Legion following the conclusion of the parade.
Donations to support the parade can be sent to American Legion Post 216 at 510 W. Commerce Rd. Milford, MI or you can contact Parade Chairman Joe Salvia at (313) 701-8000.
Note: Central Park will not be open for spectators.
