Downtown Main Street Then and Now: Five Decades of Change
Can you remember how downtown Main Street looked fifty years ago or even thirteen years ago? An exhibit at Photographic Design Gallery & Framing, 411 Sixth St. will answer those questions ans have you reminiscing about those special restaurants and shops. This extraordinary exhibit, put together by owners Brad Jaeck and Carol Hansen includes three sets of photos--black and white images of Main Street in the early 70s, comparable color images from 2012 and current color images that show the same buildings today. The photos were merged into entire blocks approximately seven inches by fifty inches. The exhibit opens with a reception on First Friday, August 1st, from 4 to 9 p.m. It will run through the end of August. Music will be provided by talented cellist Nolan Boerner.
