DoubleShot Coffee 20th Birthday Party
DoubleShot Coffee Company, Tulsa’s go-to spot for fresh-roasted, seriously sourced specialty coffee, will toast its 20th year in business on March 5, with a celebration at The Rookery, 1633 S. Boulder Ave., the coffeeshop it raised in 2019 from a former Amish dairy barn.
“I don’t think anybody ever imagined we’d be around 20 years later, certainly not me,” said Brian Franklin, owner and roastmaster of the DoubleShot.
The all-day event begins when the doors open at 7 a.m. and runs until closing time at 6 p.m., with coffee tastings, documentary screenings, a live quartet from the University of Tulsa department of music, and more. Then, from 7-10 p.m., the doors reopen for a ticketed event featuring DoubleShot barista Andrew Robinson (aka DJ Jolly), and the guitar duo of Beau Roberson and Dustin Pittsley.
Small bites will be provided and wine and beer for sale, including our own DubbelShot Belgian ale, brewed in Tulsa by High Gravity. Tickets are free but are necessary for entrance. They can be downloaded on the new DoubleShot app, now available for iPhone and Android.
