Dog Kissing Booth
The sixth annual Dog Kissing Booth, presented by Woodfin – Your Home Team returns. Share the Valentine’s Day spirit by snapping a photo with your pet – or one of the Richmond SPCA’s!
Please bring a suggested donation of $10 to support pets in need, and Brittany Rose Petography will snap a photo of you with your dog to take home. Donations using cash, credit cards, checks and Venmo will be accepted at the kissing booth.
Following the event, Brittany Rose Petography will provide a digital photo that you can download, print and share.
Espresso A-Go-Go will be on-site with delicious beverages and treats for purchase!
There will also be adorable Valentine’s Day-themed dog bandanas for sale!
From 5 to 6 p.m., you can also snap and take home a photo with the VCU Men’s Basketball team for $10.

Where will the photos be taken?
The Richmond SPCA’s Exploratorium is located upstairs, immediately on the right when you first walk through the front doors. You can go up the stairs in the front lobby or take the elevator. There will be signs directing you to the Kissing Booth.
What will the money raised support?
All donations directly support the lifesaving programs at the Richmond SPCA. Each year, the Richmond SPCA saves about 4,000 pets through rescue, recovery and adoption. In addition, they serve thousands of pets and people through programs like the pet pantry, behavior helpline, Smoky’s Spay & Neuter Clinic and low-cost Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital.
Are cats allowed at the Dog Kissing Booth?
Yes, participants can bring their feline companion to the Dog Kissing Booth. Cats must be transported in a secure carrier and have a collar and leash during the photo.
How many photos can I take?
Each participant can take multiple photos, but will receive only one printed photo per $10 donation to the Richmond SPCA. Additional photos can be purchased at $10 a piece. All photos will be sent by email following the event.
Do I have to have a pet to take a photo?
No, you do not have to have a pet to take a photo. We will have a list of smoochable pets that you can choose from.
Pet Safety Protocols:
If your dog is coughing, has a runny nose or any reparatory signs or has had signs within two weeks of the event, please refrain from attending the event with your dog.
If your dog has been in contact with another dog that has a cough, runny nose or any respiratory signs within two weeks of the event, please refrain from attending the event with your dog.
Any dog that has a pronounced cough, runny nose or respiratory signs will not be allowed to stay for the event.
