Dog Day of Summerhill
Pups and their people are invited to celebrate at Dog Day of Summerhill on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., with a tail-wagging lineup of pet-friendly fun. Guests can expect swag giveaways all along Georgia Avenue in Summerhill (while supplies last) from local favorites, including Hero Doughnuts, Psito, Wood’s Chapel BBQ, Press Shop, Little Tart, Little Bear, How Crispy, Iconic Orthodontics, Aviary and Maggie Murphy’s Salon. Look for Bee’s Bark Bar popping up in front of Maggie Murphy’s, plus dog treats from Hero Doughnuts + Psito and doggie ice cream at Little Bear (available all day and night). Wood’s Chapel BBQ will also feature a special fig whiskey smash for $14, made with whiskey, lemon, fig syrup and club soda. This rain or shine event is the “ulti-mutt” celebration ahead of National Dog Day on Aug. 26
