Disability Transition Planning Conference
The sixth annual Disability Transition Planning Conference brings together students with disabilities, families, educators, service providers, and community professionals for a day of learning, inspiration, and connection focused on the transition from high school to adulthood.
Whether you're planning for employment, continuing education, independent living, public benefits, or community involvement, this conference offers practical resources and expert guidance to help individuals build a successful future. Attendees can choose from six informative breakout sessions, connect with more than 30 local organizations during the resource fair, and gain valuable insights from professionals who work every day to support individuals with disabilities.
This year's conference also features an inspiring opening keynote from St. Louis native, author, autism advocate, and IndyCar Chief Starter Aaron Likens. Through his personal story, Aaron shares how embracing his strengths, finding support, and believing in himself helped him achieve his dream of becoming the official flagman of the Indianapolis 500.
Hosted by Boone Center, Inc. (BCI) and Community Living, Inc., the conference takes place Friday, September 18, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles. Registration is $10 per person and includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch.
