Dickinson College Farm Presents Public Tours
Dickinson College Farm tours are free and open to the public. Staff and students will explain production models, field research and renewable energy projects across the 80-acre organic farm. Theme-specific walking tours will begin every half-hour, starting at 11 a.m. A hayride tour will run from noon-1 p.m. A pop-up stand will sell certified organic and 100% grass-fed products raised on the farm.
About the Dickinson College Farm
The Dickinson College Farm is an 80-acre USDA-certified organic farm and a living laboratory where students can gain distinctive, hands-on learning experiences. The farm is dedicated to sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship and the promotion of renewable energy. Recently, the farm’s award-winning anaerobic digester project began generating electricity. The farm’s certified organic produce stand, now including compost for sale, is a beloved feature of Carlisle’s Farmers on the Square market. The farm also supplies food and goods for the Farm Works store in downtown Carlisle.
