Dia De Los Muertos at Casa Chi
Casa Chi, the Mag Mile’s Nikkei cocktail lounge from the highly acclaimed Mexican restaurateur, Chef Richard Sandoval, is the perfect location to celebrate with either after-work drinks or late night nightcaps on Dia De Los Muertos. In addition to housing one of the largest agave spirit bar selections in the city, mastering the use of underrated tequila and mezcal producers, the beverage team at Casa Chi has also crafted a specialty cocktail available all month long for the holiday.
The Marigold Margarita, honoring one of the most popular flowers associated with the holiday, is the bright orange and yellow marigold flower. The iconic flowers are used on altars and ofrendas because of their scent and bright colors are said to be alluring to souls to help illuminate the path in their journey home. The margarita take is made with reposado tequila, tonic, cempaxúchil, lime and tajÃn.
