DERANGED FRIENDS: Michael O'Brien & Geoff Bolt, founding members of the SF satirical group "The National Theatre of the Deranged," in an evening of Comedy, Improv and Sketch. With special guests: Stephanie Basco, Louise Fong Bonham, Brooke Cook, David Fineman, Michael Shaffer and more!
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and an improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight, Marsh, Holy City Zoo, Other Café, Throckmorton Theatre and The Lost Church. Michael is also a teaching artist leading the long-running Saturday Improv Workshop at Fort Mason. His acting credits include the awarding winning film "Last Black Man in San Francisco.” And Michael hosts a weekly public radio show on Sonoma’s NPR station KRCB.
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films, was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight.
They are joined tonight by some of the finest performers in all the land.
